Valentines Day

DONT PANIC. I am on the job and looking out for all y'all (men).

VeF together with D&B Chocolates has you covered. We will be doing a wine and chocolate pairing this weekend.

To go with our wines, Michelle will be offering chocolates filled with

  • Raspberry Cream
  • Cherry Cordial
  • Orange Cream
  • Orange Jelly

Furthermore, we have put together a bit of an OMG-I-forget-everything-package for the more distracted of God's famous first try (of course everybody knows the famous Russian saying about the first pancake - never comes out right!). $9.99 What is it? Well, it is not an empty hand and a smile borrowed from a dense sheep, that is what is not. It is also almost kawai cute. AND for a remunerative afterthought, we can slap a stuffed animal on to it, if you think that will help (go with God!).

Other Completely Unrelated News

Bunny and Jay at Around Your Kitchen have brought in something Über-cool. They are now offering prime olive oil (Greek)and balsamic vinegar (Italia). You buy the oil and vinegar, receive a bottle and a bag and can refill your bottle from the big containers as needed!

Valentines Weekend Wines

All red or pink.

ARIA, Pinot Noir, Spain. A complex, dry and flavorful sparkler, versatile with food and delicious by itself as an apéritif. The character of this wine is most strongly influenced by the elegance of Pinot Noir for structure on the palate and extended length on the finish.

Righteously Rose, California. A lively and floral wine, scented with strawberries and rose petals. Cool stainless steel fermentation maximizes the floral notes and retains the crisp acidity. A touch of barrel fermentation for a portion of the lot gives this wine a creamy mid-palate.

Pinot Evil, Pinot Noir, France. Grand stuff, grand price, strong chocolate and black cherry notes.

Carmenere Reserve, Chile. A particularly intense red. Tones of green pepper to ripe fruit notes (raspberry, blueberry, cherry and plum), as well as coffee and chocolate. In palate, the wine is soft, with great concentration and a long powerful finish.
