This week, I have been expanding my food items for sale.
I still might not be able to cook for you, but we can make
a spectacular picnic basket for you to take on a walk or
consume at home!
Olives
I have brought in a few different kind of olives into the
store for the first time.
From Greece, I have black Kalamata olives. I also have
some very pretty, round, bright emerald sicilian olives.
And finally, I have a some french olives in a spicy mix.
Ham
The new ham is the world famous Serrano from Spain. It
is a little softer in taste and fat than the last ham, the
San Daniele. $29.99 the Lb.
Also new are the Molinari Sorpressata and the spicy, dry
salami.
Bread
We will have some more of the almost organic bread on Saturday
Morning!
Weekend Wines
Dona Sol, Chardonnay, California.

A remarkable price: quality ratio. $6.99
Praia, Portugal. 40%
Arinto, 30% Loureiro, 20% Trajadura and 10% Azal. Praia,
which means beach in Portuguese, is a smooth and fresh wine
with delicate and lovely fruity flavors. Slightly spritzy,
it is well balanced and very refreshing. $11.99
Crucero Reserva, Merlot, Chile.
A red ruby color, complex aromas with hints of black fruits,
confiture and some spicy aromas in perfect harmony with
the wood. The palate displays juicy and soft tannins that
makes the wine very easy to drink. $14.99
Cannonball, Cabernet Sauvignon, California.
Aromas of fresh berries, spice, and pepper with a faint
background of vanilla oak are very much reflected in the
mouth. Full and rich with bright acidity, the berry and
spice flavors are boldly presented along with racy, red
fruit and vanilla-cherry on a layer of cocoa. $17.99
Weekend Beers
Steelhead, Mad River, California.
Hazy gold in color. with a pleasant foamy head. The malt
smell is sweet with citrus and floral hoppiness. Nice dry
finish. $2.19
Brooklyn Lager, Brooklyn Brewery,
New York. Amber gold in color, it displays a firm malt
center, supported by a firm bitterness and floral hop aroma.
$1.99
Toasted Lager, Blue Point Brewing
Co., New York. Copper in color, it has a complex character,
with caramel, malts, and hops. $2.19
Smuttynose Winter Ale, Smuttynose
Brewing Co., New Hampshire. Lets face it, you want
to know about the name. Named for Smuttynose Island, the
third largest of the nine islands that comprise the Isles
of Shoals, a small, rocky archipelago that lies seven miles
off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine. The name appears
on nautical charts going back as far as the seventeenth
century, so its true origins are lost to time. Prior to
the arrival of Smuttynose Brewing, the island was best known
for a brutal double axe murder that occurred there in 1873.
The rest you can see on Sunday. $2.19
