Pinot Evil, Pinot Nero - Back by Popular Demand!

The surprise dark horse is back! After breaking all records last week, this unpretentious wine is back in a big way. I tried this wine out to great acclaim but was not ready for what happened. I sold out of my case in an hour and a half. After that all I could do was take names for cases!

Take it now at $92 the case and save $16.18 the case. Keep this deep chocolate cherry wine on hand for all occasions.

Fresh Whites and Summer Reds!

1. Anton Bauer, Austria, Gmoerk, white, Gruener Veltliner (100%). Gruener Veltliner is an autochthonous varietal that makes up 51% of the total wine production of Austria. It produces a broad range of wines from light, tangy to very complex wines suitable for ageing. Young, light, straw yellow wine with elegant fruit combined with delicate spices and herbs, this wine will be very refreshing to drink on its own or with fish and pasta. $12.99

2. Haras, Chile, Chardonnay. Rich, intriguing nose with some herb-citrus notes. Marvelous grapefruit in mouth feel. Ripe, nutty, full flavored palate shows lots of fruit character. Very tasty. $14.99

3. Pinot Evil, France, Pinot Nero. Rich fruit forward style Pinot Noir. Hint of dark berries, chocolate and black cherries. Medium bodied style of Pinot Noir with full round tannin finish. $8.99

4. Luna, California, Sangiovese. Bright red in color, this wine leads to enticing aromas of black and red fruit touched by a hint of rose petal on the nose. The red fruit flavors blend elegantly with plump blueberry flavors contributed by the eighteen percent Merlot used in the blend. Accented flavors of orange rind, spice and pomegranate together with ripe cherries create a lush finish. $24.99

Sunday Beer

1. San Miguel, Phillipines. Has a golden color with light aroma. Flavor is light and pretty tasty with just a touch of aftertaste. Feels light in the mouth and is very drinkable. $2.29
2. Tusker, Kenja. Has a rich, gold color with a light, sweet aroma. Taste is very flavorful. Starts a little grainy and finishes sweet. Medium bodied in the mouth. This beer is very drinkable and quite delicious. $2.89
3. Three Philosophers, Ommegang, New York. Cynics can't believe it, Epicures hail it a sensation, and Pythagoreans just can't add up what makes this luscious blend of rich malty ale and cherry lambic so delightful. It might be the flavor of dark chocolate and cherry cordials; it could be the way it acquires wisdom and grace in the cellar. Maybe it's a conundrum. $4.49
4. Delirium Tremens, Belgium. The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success. $5.39
