First Year Anniversary!

This weekend we are celebrating our first anniversary in business! We would like to thank you all for your support and acceptance of not only Vino e Formaggio as a business, but also as an idea. We are currently working on plans to expand the business in order to, 'bring the world to your table one glass at a time.®'

Thank You.

Archaeolgy Wrap Up

Most of you remember that the owners, Tory and Patricia, went to San Giovanni d'Asso in Tuscany for an archaeology dig in May.

This weekend we will present some Tuscan wines, see below, and Tory will give a presentation, Saturday the 18th, on the latest developments and what new discoveries the season brought.

Commercial Shoot

Saturday at 6 in the evening, we need as many people as possible to come to the store for about half an hour. The Front Royal Visitor's Center will be shooting a video for their tourism promotion. We need action shots! So come by, try the wine, listen to Tory, and get on camera!

Three and a Half Tuscans!

Ruffino, Lumina, Pinot Grigio. Lumina is produced from grapes grown from the finest vineyards in Venezia Giulia (bottled in Tuscany). It merges the qualities of a very popular grape variety with the virtues of a historical vine-growing area. Its medium-bodied structure and full aromas makes it stand out. This wine, which was first introduced in 2002, has in fact been so well reviewed by consumers world-wide that its production has grown well beyond 1.000.000 bottles per year in only 4 years. $12.99

Rocca di Monte e Massi, Calasole, Vermentino, Maremma. A brilliant straw-yellow color with white flowers, spicy notes and hints of just barely ripe fruit. Substantial yet fresh, with citrus hints and almond notes. $16.99

Frescolbaldi, Remole, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, Florence. A star-clear, sparkling, purple color introduces Remole. Beautiful fruited aromas follow, with cherry and strawberry in the lead, enriched with a spicy touch of black pepper and aromatic herbs. A tangy acidity provides juicy crispness on a palate of impressive balance. A wine of wonderful drinkability. $12.99

Mazzoni, Toscana Rosso, Sangiovese (72%) and Merlot (28%)., Montalcino. This supertuscan has a strong, ruby red color with an intense bouquet of ripe dark berries. Fresh and vibrant with good acidity, the Sangiovese provides a firm backbone and substantial body, while the Merlot brings a luscious mouthfeel and lingering finish. $19.99
