of this coming week. Friday as well.

Whites and Reds
Traditional Thanksgiving food can be a little
difficult to pair with wines, so I have chosen the following.
A Prosecco to start with while cooking, a gewurztraminer,
because the spice and sugar of the grape will fit the heavier
spices, and two big reds.
Prosecco, Villa Jolanda, Italia.
Light straw yellow in colour with greenish hints. The perlage
is fine and persistent with a characteristic, aromatic,
flowers and fruits bouquet. An excellent aperitif wine and

Gewurztraminer, Helfrich, Alsace,
France. A perfumed, just off-dry version, with lots
of rose petal, cream, vanilla and nutmeg flavors. There's

Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, Red
Blend, Tuscany, Italia. This multifaceted wine is suited
for day to day drinking and is easily matched with all foods.
It is a fruity, lightly herbal wine, enriched by hints of
spices. Full bodied, quite soft and balanced. $13.99
Refosco del Peduncolo Rosso, Friuli,
Italia. Aluminous red this wine has a bouquet that
is both fruity, and spicy with berries and flowers, a harmonious
flavor, and a good body. $16.99
