There is a lot to announce this week! The Christmas season finally has gotten underway and things are moving again.

Christmas Survival Package

Because money is tight for everybody, I have put together a few cases of mixed wine and discounted it 15%. (If you remember, I usually discount 10% on the mixed case). In this case you will find 2 Spanish sparkling wines, a port, a mead, 4 whites and 4 reds. In short, something for everybody. So save yourself some money and the hassle of another thing to thing about and just grab a case. Normal price - 143.88. Now only $122!

Panettone

As has become tradition here, I have brought in a very small number of imported panettone from Ricetta Antica, for those of you who include it in your Christmas Traditions. Try it made into french toast!

Stocking Stuffers

I have brought in little miniature (200ml) bottles of Villa Jolana Prosecco and Banfi's Rosa Regale sweet pink champagne. They would be the perfect to fit into the stockings for Christmas Day.

Abadia Retuerta

Some of you have been asking about this Spanish red that i featured 2, maybe 3 weekends ago. I finally was able to get the last 3 bottles. First come, first served.

Christmas Opening Hours

I will be open from 11 - 7 (Sundays at 5) everyday until New Years day.

I am sure there was something else, but it is one in the morning and I have been shelving enormous amounts of cheese, wine, and beer all day.

Christmas Wine

A little bit more than usual because of the holidays coming up. I wanted to show a mead and a port this weekend.

Mead, Oliver, Indiana. In King Arthur's fabled kingdom of Camelot, mead was a symbol of camaraderie among the Knights of the Round Table and the quiet promise of love between the knights and their ladies. Camelot Mead is Oliver Winery's revival of this historic libation. Made from pure honey, it is delightful served chilled with fruit and light cheeses.$13.99

Sauvignon Blanc, Chateau Ste Michelle, Washington State. This Sauvignon Blanc from Horse Heaven Vineyard delivers aromas of citrus and green apple with lively herb spice notes. A touch of Semillon is added to the blend for enhanced texture and weight. $11.99

Vouvray, Domaine Pichot, France. A Mirabelle plum nose. Lovely flavors of apple pie with cream, too, plus pineapple, cloves and ripe pear. Super round with acids that cling to the roof of your mouth. A silky, elegant finish. $17.99

Zweigelt, Hugl, Austria. This wine boasts a concentrated color, fruity and spicy aromas, cherry flavors. Full-bodied, smooth and round, the wine is an ideal food companion.$13.99

Cockburn's Fine Ruby Port, Portugal. Cockburn's Fine Ruby is a blend of young wines from various years, aged for three years in wood casks and bottled after filtration. With rich, full-bodied flavors of raspberry, plum and spice, it retains the red color and fruit flavor of youth, and is ready to drink when bottled, offering a rich, fruity, sweet taste. Fine Ruby pairs well with blue veined cheeses, rich chocolate desserts - especially with raspberry sauce - or simply squares of dark chocolate and toasted walnuts. $12.99

Seasonal Beers

Prima Pils, Victory, Pennsylvania. Heaps of hops give this pale lager a bracing, herbal bite over layers of soft and smooth malt flavor. This refreshing combination of tastes makes Prima a classy quencher in the tradition of the great pilsners of Europe. Dry and delightful, this is an elegant beer. $2.19

Best Brown Ale, Bells, Michigan. Rich brown ale perfect for the fall and winter. Plenty of malt character and smooth sweet finish give this brown ale its distinct character.$2.19

Hefeweisen Dark, Erdinger, Germany. Erdinger Weissbier 'dark' is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production. $3.89

Cherry Stout, Bells, Michigan. A rich and powerful beer with tart cherry appeal, make this a fine stout. $3.39

Java Stout, Bells, Michigan. The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer. $3.39
